How To Get a Free DreamTour

Let's say that you would like to bicycle across Mongolia from west to east and would like a group of 15 to 25 people. You will start spreading the word (as well as benefit from visitors to our site who will be attracted by your idea) and at some point there are 35 people who have indicated a definite interest. At this stage we at Tour d’Afrique will do an analysis of the tour, come up with a price and ask the potential participants to put a refundable down payment of 25% of the cost of the tour.

Let's say that 20 riders pay the down payment. At this point we will do the final reconnaissance, finalize the cost, logistics and set the dates. The participants will now be asked to pay the fee for the tour.

If the tour reaches the minimal number of participants in this case 15 people, the tour is a "go" and you the originator will pay half of the fee. If the number rises to 20 riders, you will pay 25% of the cost of the tour. If the number of participants reaches 25, you will receive a free trip. Of course each tour will have a different number of ‘minimum’ and ‘maximum’ number of participants depending both on your desire and the logistical limitations.

What if there is a group of co-creators who will be working together to get the tour of the ground? How will it work than?

The originator of the tour gets rewarded because he/she had a great idea and other people have decided to join and because the originator has been working hard to spread the idea and built a group of interested adventurers. However if the originator is a ‘group’ than the reward will be shared by reducing the price to the group that worked together or to reduce the costs to all participants. It is really up to the originator and others who will join him/her to decide.

What if I want a small group?

You determine how big the group is, but keep in mind that the smaller the group, the more expensive it will be for potential participants and thus more difficult for the tour to fill up and become a reality.

What about adding other adventure activities to the tour? How will those works?

Let us say that at some point you would like to balloon across part of Mongolia? The process is the same. If the basis of the tour includes other activities and the rest of the group want to partake, than the plan will include the activities as well. If the adventure is simply an add on, than the price will not be added, but we will try our utmost to help make it happen.

I would like my DreamTour to be a fundraiser. Is that possible?

Absolutely. We can help you set up a DreamTour fundraiser anywhere in the world. We will help to cost it out for you and then you can work with your target charity to create a critical mass of participants and create the terms and amounts of funds that the participants will need to raise in order to participate.
