Count me in

What is a cycling icon? It is something which is a must do, a bench mark against which everything else is measured.  So what are the Canadian Rockies cycling icons? Easy question they are Kananaskis Highwood pass, Glacier Park’s Highway to the Sun (ok it is technically in the US but is approached though Canada), Windermere Valley, Roger’s Pass, Yellowhead Pass, and the Jasper-Banff Parkway. We did this route with eight riders and two support vehicles this summer and it was one of the best rides I have ever been on.  We took hotels on the night before a rest day and the night of a rest day, and camped the remaining 17 nights.  The roads are all wide in great condition with very little traffic, the climbs are all excellent, the services are great, and the scenery is world class. Start and end in Calgary because there is an international airport. The route is just short of 2500 kms and is very suited to 20 ride days with 3 rest days This gives you three century rides (100 miles – 160 kms).

I couldn't Get the Google map to work so you have to click on the route picture to see the route
