Count me in

Although the most popular beaches in Brazil are really very beautiful, what´s in between them is even prettier. This will be an overdose of beaches. And crossing rivers. Sometimes, more than 5 in a day. Moonlight night traveling through the beaches. Camping on paradisiac beaches, eating fresh fish, shrimps and sleeping with the sound ot the waves, under a very beautiful sky. I beleieve hat 80% of this route can be done by the beach on hard sand (on the right time of the day) and trails by. A small boat would be nice for a nice lunch and camping support, crossing the riders on larger rivers, and to enable us to be many days in a row off the grid, on places there is no access by car.
Starting the tour a couple of days after Carnival could be a good idea.

You should ride it using xtracycles so you can carry the surfboards on the bikes!

Actually I don't think on doing any surfing. I gave it that name after Henry arrived at a hotel, after a day of ridig on the beach (Vuelta Sudamericana), sayng he had "surfed" on his bike.

A great little blog of a couple who did a few days ride along part of this coastline... http://www.webventure.com.br/comunidade/blog/home/id/7#1645 even if you cant understand Portuguese the photos give a good idea of cycling on the beaches, although their accommodation choices might not be of the same standard!
