With a self-designed degree in outdoor leadership, environmental education and business, Ryan used college to study bike rides. "Bicycle touring is my church. It's simple means to knowing oneself and the world." Now heading up a nascent bicycle company called Wheeled Migration, Ryan spends his off time- riding bikes. On the road he packs an appreciation for whimsy and an understanding of emergency medicine, sports massage, and Kinesiology.

 "Ride safe and ride shameless." 

 

Ryan will be with the tour from St Louis to Quebec.

I’m an outdoor enthusiast that spends most of my free time either trail running, cycling or backpacking. I’ve been a freelance photographer and graphic designer for 10 years in Tallahassee, Florida. I also design and build mountain bike trails for state and local parks.

My name is Nick and I’m extremely excited to be joining the Tour d’Afrique staff as an Assistant Tour Director. Originally I’m from Peoria, Illinois and currently I live in Boston, Massachusetts as I recently graduated from Northeastern University. Although this is my first experience working with TDA, I previously worked for a French based bicycle touring company in the Alps.

My thirst for adventure stems from the fact that I’ve lived and travelled extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America throughout my life. When I’m not cruising around Boston on one of my bikes, you can typically find me snowboarding, enjoying live music, hiking, and loving life.
